Kate is Managing Consultant with Armstrong Advisory Group, a real estate finance group with expertise in residential and commercial real estate financing. She is presently focusing on the international market. She was a delegate on MBA's trade missions to Western Europe in 1983, Russia and Eastern Europe in 1992 and South America in 1996. She has also had assignments in Indonesia in 1996 and 1997, and Hungary in 1999.

As a Vice President with the Shawmut Bank, NA (now Fleet Financial), Kate was in the Commercial Real Estate Syndications and Secondary Market Group; served as Group Head in the Other Real Estate Owned Division; member of the Participations and Placement Group; construction lender; and as head of the Metropolitan Boston Region's Commercial Real Estate Group. Earlier in her career, she established and managed the Bank's Residential Mortgage Banking Center. She also served as an Executive on Exchange to the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts assigned to the Massachusetts Housing Partnership.

Kate holds a degree in Real Estate Finance from Northeastern University, Boston, MA and has received the Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation from the Mortgage Bankers Association. She also is the recipient of MBA's Master Faculty Award. She received a Certificate in International Business and Culture from Northeastern University in September, 1998.

Kate is a former member of the Board of Governors of the Mortgage Bankers Association; member and past chairman of both the Education and International Committees. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Massachusetts Finance Agency
