Malcom B. Hollensteiner, graduated from Harvard University in 1990 with a B.A. in history. From 1990-1992, he played professional basketball in Australia and Europe. In December of 1992, Malcolm went to work as a loan officer with the then 1st Washington Mortgage Company, a subsidiary of Washington Federal Savings Bank. He was an originator in their District of Columbia office through 1997, including the 18 months that they were part of the First National Bank of Maryland family.

In 1998, he assumed the position of Branch Manager for the Northern Virginia office of National City Mortgage Company, their new owner. His branch is consistently one of the most profitable branches in the National City organization and Malcolm is one of the company's top originators. He graduated from the School of Mortgage Banking in 2002 and manages production offices in the District of Columbia, Virginia, and South Carolina. Malcolm, his wife and four children live in Bethesda, Maryland.
