CMT Points - Getting to 75
All CMT candidates must accumulate 75 points from the following three categories: Professional Experience, Documented Education, and Industry Participation. Once we have your resume and/or transcript update form, we can evaluate your current point status and provide you with a personalized plan to help you complete this step of the program.
Below is a list of the three point categories and the activities/events that will earn points in those categories. Use your CampusMBA Transcript to assist you in monitoring your progress through the program.
Professional Experience (Minimum: 10 points)
Candidates must have a minimum of two years experience (10 points minimum). Here is how your experience is calculated:
- Employment with MBA member firm (5 points per year)
- Employment with non-MBA firm (3 points per year)
Documented Education (Minimum: 30 points)
Required CampusMBA Courses:
Note: With 7 or more years of industry experience, you may apply for and potentially exempt out of SOMB I. Click here and scroll down to Exemption to learn more.
CampusMBA Electives:
- eMortgage Workshop (6 points) - Note: This program can be substituted for the 3 required CD-ROM courses required above
- Any CampusMBA classroom-based or print-based course (2-5 points)
Other Electives:
- Any technology-related course/certification (5 points)
- Undergraduate degree (15 points)
- Graduate degree, technology-related (10 points)
Industry Participation (Minimum: 15 points)
Participate in any of the following:
- MBA Technology Conferences/Workshops (2-5 points)
- MBA Annual Convention (4 points)
- Technology Committee Participation (5 points per year)
- Other technology-related industry events or activities (1 point per day)
