Read below to find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about the CQAP.

Getting Started

How do I earn the Certified Quality Assurance Professional (CQAP) designation?

There are three levels to earning your CQAP designation. Successful completion of Level I will earn you the Quality Assurance Achievement Certificate, Level II the Quality Assurance Professional Certificate, and Level III the CQAP Specialist Designation. You will need to enroll in each level of the program.

How do I know where to start? Which certificate is first?

Each step is designed to incorporate your experience:

Achievement Certificate: CQAP Level I courses are recommended for individuals with less than 3 years of experience.

Professional Certificate: CQAP Level II courses are recommended for individuals with 3-4 years of experience.

Specialist Designation: CQAP Level III courses are recommended for individuals with 4+ years of experience.

What if I have less than one year experience?

If you have less than one year experience in quality assurance, we recommend that you complete a mortgage banking overview course such as Mortgage Banking Primer prior to beginning this program.

Will I receive a certificate at each level?

You will receive a printed certificate for successful completion of Level I and Level II.

When you successfully complete Level III and earn your CQAP Specialist Designation, you will be presented the CQAP designation certificate in a professional plaque at the MBA Quality Assurance Conference.
