- Substitute the classroom-based Underwriting University in place of Basic Appraisal Underwriting, Essentials of Residential Underwriting and Underwriting Capstone 101
- Substitute a certificate in Basics of Desktop Underwriter and Loan Prospector for Underwriting Capstone 101
3. Pass the test. When you have completed the required courses, you may take the CRU Level I comprehensive exam.
