About this Course
This two-day course focuses on advanced ways to boost productivity in an intensely competitive field. The course centers on the analysis of potential investments through the application of comprehensive information about the components of commercial real estate originations from start to finish.
Learning Objectives
- Identify origination procedures, such as marketing, networking and tools available to originators
- Analyze borrower needs and locate appropriate sources of capital
- Describe the property types and products
- Compare the characteristics of various borrowers and lenders
- Demonstrate how deals are originated through mortgage bankers and lenders
- Identify sources of capital and the steps to appropriately match them to borrowers
- Analyze borrower needs and determine if requests are feasible
- Determine whether a property's value, proposed use and risks justify the borrower's loan request
- Describe the process of processing, closing and servicing the deal
- Demonstrate concepts learned during the course by participating in a hands-on case study, specifically designed to reinforce materials covered

Commercial Loan Origination 201 is part of CampusMBA's Commercial Loan Origination Series. These three courses focus on the knowledge and skills needed for successful loan origination in today's challenging commercial/multifamily market. Each course in this series includes different learning objectives targeted to loan originators with different levels of experience and knowledge. One does not need to attend all courses in the series, nor do the courses need to be attended in order. However, we do strongly encourage students to begin their studies at the level commiserate with their experience in order to ensure successful comprehension of the concepts discussed during each intensive two day session.
