FHA Underwriting and Operations Workshop

Public Course Delivery Method: Classroom Course
Duration of Course: 1 day

About this Course

This popular one-day classroom-based course dives deeply into FHA processing and underwriting requirements and helps students apply those guidelines and rules in day to day operations. The workshop also discusses the back end of the process from closing through insuring and quality control.

It also explores recent changes in FHA procedures, guidelines and regulations. At the end of the full day event, students will know how to deliver a quality product to HUD and be ready for the opportunities FHA financing brings to customers. All upcoming offerings of this course address changes to FHA lending from the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 (HERA).

This workshop is designed for processors, underwriters and quality control staff responsible for the details within an FHA loan and who have taken the FHA Fundamentals workshop. Otherwise, attendees should have at least 2-4 years of recent hands-on FHA experience.

DE (Direct Endorsement): FHA Underwriting and Operations Workshop provides complete information on all origination, processing and underwriting requirements unique to FHA loans. Lenders across the country use these courses as part of a certification program for their processors and underwriters who are looking to become DE (Direct Endorsement) Underwriters.
