About this Course Managing Profitability and Risk in Mortgage Banking emphasizes effective organization and management of the production, servicing and secondary marketing departments for the purpose of controlling risks and maximizing bottom-line profits. This course covers developing new markets, production management, servicing portfolio management and valuation, marketing risk management and pricing strategy. Course II begins with breakfast and registration on Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. Classes are held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday to Friday.

Prerequisites To attend Course II, students must successfully complete the Course I final examination and submit the appropriate fees.
Exemption There are no exemptions from Course II.
Successful Completion of Course II Credit for Course II is earned when a student has attended all hours of classroom training and passed the comprehensive examination given at the end of the course.
Certification and Designation Credit
| Successful completion of this event will earn the participant 15 points toward the Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation. SOMB graduates receive this designation at the Course III graduation ceremony.
