This five-day instructor-led online course addresses education requirements as established by the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act). It covers the comprehensive information in the areas of general mortgage knowledge, mortgage loan origination activities and federal mortgage-related laws.
The goal of Loan Production for Originators is to educate participants in the general loan process from origination to closing and provide a solid foundation of knowledge to prepare participants for the national mortgage licensing exam. Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
- Understand general mortgage terms, products and documentation.
- Recognize closing documents and mortgage fraud.
- Describe fair and ethical mortgage lending practices.
- Explain key requirements of federal mortgage related laws.
- Understand anti-predatory lending laws and the SAFE Act.
All five sections will be covered over five days of instruction utilizing current information. Registrants will also be required to participate on two conference calls - a kick off call that takes place before all coursework has been assigned and a wrap up call that takes place after all coursework has been collected.

20 Hour SAFE Comprehensive: Loan Production for Originators is approved to apply towards 20 hours of the NMLS prelicensing comprehensive requirements.
