Special Litigation Workshop
CampusMBA, the education division of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), is offering a special Litigation Workshop on Sunday, September 26, during MBA's Regulatory Compliance Conference. The four forums that make up this workshop are available at no extra charge to registered attendees of the Conference. Those who wish to attend the workshop only must register seperately.
Forum 1: Challenges Presented by Litigation Involving the Mortgage Origination Process, Key Litigation Claims Against the Industry Under Federal and State Regulation
This interactive forum session will focus on the array of claims that can arise against lenders under fair housing, state UDAP, FCRA and FACTA and other laws to attack the origination of mortgage loans.
Forum 2: Litigation Involving Servicing
This forum session examines the many types of claims that have been brought by borrowers under TILA, state UDAP, bankruptcy and other laws to force loan adjustments and / or stop foreclosures.
Forum 3: Claims Against Partners and Other Players
This forum session will examine claims for title and mortgage insurance coverage brought by lenders to compensate for losses.
Forum 4: Enforcement
This forum session will consider federal and state enforcement actions and strategies for addressing them.
